VisIC Technologies Secures $26M Round B Investment to Accelerate Next-Generation GaN Power Solutions for Electric Mobility
VisIC Technologies is proud to announce the successful second closing of its Round B funding, raising $26 million to advance cutting-edge GaN power semiconductor technology for electric vehicles. The round was led by a global semiconductor leader, with Hyundai Motor Company and Kia (HKMC) joining as strategic investor.
This milestone strengthens VisIC’s position as a pioneer in high-performance GaN power devices for automotive traction inverters and next-generation mobility.
The global EV market demands higher efficiency, improved driving range, and more sustainable power electronics.
Traditional silicon solutions can no longer keep pace, and while SiC provides performance benefits, its high cost limits mass-market adoption.
VisIC’s D³GaN™ platform delivers a new level of efficiency, scalability, and reliability for both 400V and 800V EV architectures, unlocking lighter, smaller, and more energy-efficient traction inverters.
How the New Investment Propels VisIC Forward
The $26M funding will accelerate key strategic developments:
- Gen3 750V GaN dice and power modules optimization, qualification, and release
- Gen4 1350V GaN technology for the full spectrum of EV designs
- Supply chain stabilization and ramp-up of GaN product delivery for traction inverters
- Expansion of GaN solutions for emerging 800V data-center power applications
These advancements position VisIC as a central enabler of the next era of electric mobility and high-efficiency power infrastructure.
